As the Systems Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for both technical leadership and people development on a high impact program. You will guide the team through the systems engineering “V”, ensure rigorous requirements development, and champion a culture of technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical direction across the systems engineering “V” and ensuring delivery of high quality engineering artifacts
  • Collaborate with government and customer representatives in support of critical space-based daily operations and distributed multi-element deliveries and activities
  • Perform staffing and performance responsibilities; in coordination with HR and established processes
  • Communicating technical status, risks, and recommendations to program and functional leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical coordination with Program Office, Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, and Customer
  • Agile development experience
  • Systems Engineering process knowledge or experience and complete lifecycle experience with Engineering processes and reviews
  • Active Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
  • Familiarity with DoD program support
  • Demonstrated Program/Project Management and/or leadership skills
  • FBM Weapon Systems Programs
  • Missile/Space Weapons Systems
  • Customer interaction and familiarity with the DoD Flight Test Ranges/Facilities
  • Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, principles and tools
  • Broad experience of Systems Engineering life cycle process and tools
  • Proposal preparation, BOEs
  • Knowledge of program management, finance, contracts, Earned Value Management (EVM) and demonstrated business insight
  • Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
  • Active Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
