Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control is looking to hire a Program Quality Engineer to support our Orlando, FL site.

The program quality engineer will manage the implementation and execution of program quality requirements. They will be responsible for all aspects of Quality across the programs life-cycle including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production and support.

What You Will Be Doing

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding of quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software, systems and suppliers/subcontractors, and customers. Proficient in company policies.
  • Partner with program teams as the Quality Lead for design, development, production and mobilization phases of program execution.
  • Perform contract reviews and flows down contract quality requirements to quality team, including suppliers.
  • Establish quality budgets and cost commitments.
  • Serve on the program area Risk and Opportunity Review Boards; nominates risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance Plans are documented and current and implemented, and that schedules and ensures assessments of program (e.g. quality audits).
  • Participate in independent program reviews to understand risks and drive Return to Green plans. Maintains a DCMA/Customer quality relationship.
  • Establish and maintain effective Quality Program Team business rhythm.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • STEM Degree or equivalent combined education/experience
  • Experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE processes, and related performance metrics
  • Strong knowledge of industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO) and/or Aerospace (AS)
  • Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
  • Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

Desired Skills:

  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Effective communication skills: written, oral and listening
  • Demonstrated presentation skills

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
