Description:

  • Primary shift: 1st shift role; may be required to support alternate shifts as needed.
  • Lead and support process improvement projects
  • Gather information from all applicable stakeholders
  • Develop complete ROI (Return on Investment) analyses
  • Develop and maintain production & program metrics
  • Keep metric databases accurate and up to date
  • Drive Operational Excellence Team initiatives
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with excellence objectives
  • Materials
  • Facility layout optimization
  • Tooling design and selection
  • Affordability and producibility assessments
  • Perform time studies
  • Collect, analyze, and document cycle time data to identify efficiency gains
  • Maintain production standards
  • Maintain work center capacity standards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Solid engineering skills/foundation including problem/anomaly identification, analysis, and resolution
  • Willing to support extended work hours when required
  • Must be a United States Citizen

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Lean/6 sigma processes
  • Experience facilitating process improvement events
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures and reports. Ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation
  • Advanced Skills in the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as CreoParametric, CreoView, Solidworks.
  • Demonstrated Self-starter attributes
  • Knowledge aerospace processes
  • Experience in production, manufacturing and/or assembly environments

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

9x80 every other Friday off
