The Business Technology Partner (BTP) for the Close Combat Systems (CCS) programs will serve as the chief liaison between the program team and the Information Technology (IT) organization for both Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) and Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation (EBDT). MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. A company-sponsored secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • 5 + years of experience delivering technology solutions in a defense, aerospace, or similarly complex environment.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements and functional specifications.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with status reporting, risk tracking, and roadmap development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to facilitate collaboration across multiple departments and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change management and user adoption initiatives for new systems or processes.
  • Familiarity with IT governance, demand/intake processes, and cross-directorate coordination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and manage competing priorities.

Desired Skills:

  • Systems architecture and integration expertise (e.g., model-based engineering, data fusion platforms)
  • Advanced project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, OpenPlan) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Change management frameworks (Prosci, ADKAR) and user adoption strategies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities across technical and business teams
  • Ability to craft clear, persuasive communications (presentations, executive briefs, PR-style messages)
  • Experience with technology road mapping and long-term vision planning (1-3 year horizons)
  • Knowledge of defense IT standards, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for status reporting
  • Collaborative mindset with a track record of driving cross-directorate coordination and consensus building.

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day workweek while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
