The Northrop Grumman’s CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer to lead and support information systems and network design, operation, and security activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Melbourne, FL location.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- As a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and hands-on contributor across the full product lifecycle of a software development and test environment using your knowledge of operating system administration, Microsoft Configuration Manager, web app design, and security monitoring tools.
- You will collaborate across teams, influence best practices, and mentor engineers while driving secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
- Perform Lab Infrastructure Design, Deployment, Configuration, and Management.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for desktop virtualization and host system administration.
- Lead both Network & Security functions necessary to operate multiple Software Development environments at various classification levels.
- Design and implement software and automation tools to assist both customer development teams and maintenance operations.
- Provide expertise in configuring and conducting hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and simulations.
- Support the integration of avionics systems into test environments, ensuring they meet compatibility and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and maintain aircraft simulations that accurately reflect operational scenarios.
- Participate in the setup and operation of Test Stations, such as the Mission System Integration Test Station (MSITS) and the Vehicle System Integrated Test Station (VSITS), for comprehensive system testing.
- Implement and manage cyber networking solutions to ensure secure and efficient communication between test systems and components.
- Document test procedures, results, and best practices to support ongoing assurance and compliance efforts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues and ensure successful system performance.
- Proactively research and analyze industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to test station engineering and cyber systems.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and help establish engineering standards and best practices for lab and test environments.
- Willingness to embrace change and work in a dynamic environment.
- May require alternate work schedules, shift work, EWW and potentially some weekend work.
- Potential travel (10%) to support program activities and integration.
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in STEM Field and 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in a STEM field with 10 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree in STEM field with 12 years of relevant experience
- Must have a Security+ certification or greater
- Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
- Experience in the management of Windows Server and Desktop systems, including Microsoft Configuration Management (MCM) and PowerShell, as well as a high level of expertise in VMWare applications and management
- Previous experience managing Active Directory Infrastructure
- Experience with the administration of Atlassian, Coverity, and Gitlab web applications, with a focus on the identification and resolution of performance issues
- Experience working with access controls and comprehensive experience in utilizing monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and SolarWinds to effectively detect and respond to security incidents.
- Experience in the application of Secure Technical Implementation Guides and asset configuration management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret, SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have
- Experience in performing configuration management across multiple systems and architectures
- A keen eye for problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional communication and teamwork skills will be essential for excelling in this role
- Experience working with DevOps Processes and Cloud Infrastructure
- Systems administration experience, to include VMWare, vSphere, VDI, and ESXi
- Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability
- VCP (-DCV preferred) or VCAP certification
- Experience serving as a technical lead or architect for lab, HIL, or test station environments

Primary Level Salary Range: $168,200.00 - $252,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
