Join our Program Manufacturing Engineering team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the JASSM/LRASM Program. Our team is responsible for supporting production operations across multiple sites and delivering manufacturing solutions.
The candidate will support JASSM/LRASM mission area Production and Development efforts, supporting multiple sites in the areas of affordability, manufacturing process development, yield improvement, and tooling concepts. Other tasks include supporting production operations with manufacturing readiness, manufacturability assessments, and review of design changes.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will provide technical leadership, develop manufacturing processes, and support production across the JASSM/LRASM program sites.
- Support production operations at multiple sites, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, quality, etc.) to resolve production issues.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex manufacturing challenges.
- Travel approximately one week per quarter to support site activities and coordination.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline (mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.)
- Experience with manufacturing processes and assembly sequences (circuit card assembly, machining, complex cable routing, final assembly and integration)
- Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma skills and ability to identify process issues/opportunities and implement cost saving solutions (affordability)
- Skilled in interpretation of Engineering specifications and reviewing drawing requirements for manufacturability
- Strong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business and remote collaboration
Desired Skills:
- Candidate should have a good understanding and demonstrated application of technical and problem solving skills in the area of manufacturing and production
- Knowledge of Missile Manufacturing and familiarity with MFC Troy Operations
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience in planning and execution of Process Improvements and Technical Solutions
- Knowledge of MFC systems such as SAP, Apriso, Windchill, etc. for producing hardware
- Experience with CREO/Pro-E/Catia and Model Based Engineering

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
