This is an opportunity to work directly with R&D, design, and production teams to develop scalable manufacturing processes for commercial and military products. If you enjoy building new production capabilities, improving manufacturability, and seeing products move from concept to reality, this role offers broad technical exposure and meaningful impact.

What You'll Work On

  • Lead manufacturing process development for new products transitioning from R&D into production
  • Design and implement assembly lines, tooling, fixtures, and test setups
  • Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability, quality, and reliability
  • Develop detailed work instructions, process documentation, and production travelers
  • Support fabrication and assembly operations involving:
    • CNC machining
    • Sheet metal fabrication
    • Injection and rotational molding
    • Tube assembly fabrication
    • Precision mechanical assemblies
  • Optimize workflow, equipment layout, and production efficiency
  • Support low-volume and pilot production builds while preparing products for larger-scale manufacturing
  • Mentor junior manufacturing, industrial, and process engineers

What We're Looking For

We're looking for engineers who enjoy being on the production floor, solving real-world problems, and building practical manufacturing solutions. Ideal candidates will have experience in several of the following areas:

  • New product introduction (NPI)
  • Production line setup and process implementation
  • Tooling and fixture design
  • DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
  • GD&T interpretation and application
  • Manufacturing documentation and traceability systems
  • Continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering and production teams

Qualifications

  • BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations

Mainstream Engineering Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. Qualified candidates will be considered without regard to legally protected characteristics.
