The Senior Data Analyst – Manufacturing Operations will focus on analyzing data from a manufacturing environment that combines automation and manual assembly practices. The role involves utilizing data to improve production efficiency, ensure quality, and optimize manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial data systems and a understanding of manufacturing workflows, including automation and manual assembly techniques.

What You Will Do:

Collect, clean, and analyze data from a variety of sources, including manufacturing execution systems (MES), automated machinery, and manual operations data logs.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key manufacturing performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, throughput, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Identify trends and bottlenecks in production workflows, and recommend actionable solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain, to address data-driven challenges and opportunities.

Work with automation systems to extract and analyze machine performance data, ensuring optimal utilization of automated equipment.

Support predictive maintenance efforts by analyzing equipment data to forecast potential failures and minimize unplanned downtime.

Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and results to ensure transparency and repeatability.

Stay current with industry trends in manufacturing analytics, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly with automated and manual assembly operations.

Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R, or MATLAB.

Experience with automation systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and robotics.

Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as MES, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization.

Ability to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, AI, and machine learning for manufacturing applications.

Hands-on experience with manufacturing-specific data sources, such as sensor data, production logs, and quality control metrics.

Understanding of aerospace and defense manufacturing processes (if applicable to the organization).

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
