Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Outgoing Inspector to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform inspections as an Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Unit Member (UM). The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and company policies while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct detailed inspections of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Review and verify product documentation, including certifications, test reports, and inspection records, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform outgoing inspections in accordance with ODA UM responsibilities, ensuring compliance with FAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, and tools to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
- Solve basic problems related to inspection and quality processes.
- May assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of technical/business support employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to address and resolve non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance inspection processes and quality standards.
- Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to ODA and inspection activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in quality inspection, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Current or prior designation as an ODA Unit Member (UM) is highly desirable.
- Experience with customer Source Inspection is highly desirable. (DCMA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, etc.)
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100), and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using quality management systems and software tools.

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
