Orion Test Operations - Certified Test Conductor
Description:
The Certified Test Conductor (CTC) will serve as the person in charge (PIC) during the execution of all test activities within the Orion program. The CTC is accountable for the safe, disciplined, and efficient execution of test procedures, the integrity of test inputs/outputs, and the coordination of test support coverage across rotating 24 hr/7 day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare all test hardware, software, and instrumentation (including electrical ground support equipment) ensuring compliance with the Test Engineering Command Media.
- Lead execution of functional, performance, and environmental tests, documenting results, discrepancies, and corrective actions; serve as the PIC for all test execution activities.
- Provide 24 hr/7 day in person test support on a rotating schedule (day, split, night) and act as the primary escalation point for any test phase anomalies.
- Coordinate with Test Leads, Test Technicians, and other CTCs to ensure unified test execution strategy, resource allocation, and compliance with ATLO directives.
- Maintain CTC certification status, complete required training and annual recertification.
- Identify and mitigate human error risks by applying the Human Error Prevention and enforcing approved procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Software, or a closely related field).
- Ability to perform reliably in a 24 hour operational environment, working rotating day, split, and night shifts.
- Prior experience as a CTC or current enrollment in the CTC OJT training program, or participation in an equivalent program within another business unit, or military leadership experience.
- Must not simultaneously hold Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) certification/status.
- Must be a United States citizen
Desired Skills:
- Completed the CTC certification curriculum and successfully finished the required OJT training.
- Proven leadership and team building skills; capable of coordinating and guiding a team through anomaly investigation and resolution.
- Proficient with automated test equipment, scripting languages, data acquisition systems, and Linux based test tools.
- Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent written, oral, and documentation skills.
- Hands on experience with crewed spacecraft or other high reliability flight hardware.
- Solid understanding of test engineering processes, including the creation and execution of test plans, procedures, and the maintenance of accurate test records.
- Experienced using automation framework tools to develop and manage test scripts and workflows.
- Familiar with electrical ground support equipment used to power and monitor spacecraft subsystems.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off
