You will be the Manufacturing Planner Sr for the Production Planning & Control (PP&C) team. Our team is responsible for driving inventory optimization, material flow, and schedule integrity across Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire (MFC) programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Planner Sr you will be responsible for executing Scheduling and Bill-of-Material (BOM) planning activities within the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, update, and load Internal Operating Plan schedules in MRP, ensuring accurate BOM structures, lead‑times, and lot‑size parameters.
- Expedite and optimize material flow by coordinating with Procurement, Operations Management, and Supply‑Chain stakeholders to meet production commitments.
- Maintain MRP data integrity, adjusting lead times and lot sizes, and collaborating with Engineering Change Board representatives to implement BOM changes.
- Support long‑term capacity planning through the Capacity Requirements Plan and monitor inventory levels to minimize cost.
- Analyze production system performance and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce waste.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Completed Bachelor's degree
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Past experience with supply/buy planning, manufacturing, and/or make‑planning.
- Past experience with bills of materials (BOM), configuration changes, and demand planning.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and software programs.
- Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing, material management, and accounting systems (MMAS).
Desired Skills:
- SAP ERP experience with high Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, data detail-driven, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business.
- Inventory Control and material handling knowledge.
- Experience with material and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.
- Green belt trained and or certified.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, parts lists, Bill-of-Material.
- Schedule planning and lead-time analysis.
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
- Very good organization and communication skills.
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
