Description:
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into comprehensive work instructions, improving build processes with advanced technologies and automation, and driving continuous process improvement initiatives.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for creating clear, end to end work instructions and elevating production efficiency through innovative engineering solutions.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Translate detailed engineering drawings and parts lists into easy to follow work instructions for mechanics and assemblers.
- Develop and implement process improvements using advanced automation and cutting edge technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and design new processes for evolving product lines.
- Lead RCCA and Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce cost, boost quality, and accelerate repeatable production.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design changes and capacity planning.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Ability to obtain a Security clearance, therefore must be a US citizen.
- 1-3 years of related experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel)
- CREO/ProE experience with a focus on tooling, taking a concept through to final design and fabrication
- Experience in troubleshooting problems and developing solutions
- Experience in process development and automation
- Experience with composite structure fabrication
- Experience writing technical work instructions
- Familiarity with equipment operation such as but not limited to pneumatic dispensing machines, plasma cleaning machines, cobots, autoclaves, cutting tables
- Able to work in a cross function, teaming environment
- Knowledge of GD&T
- SAP Experience
- Knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing, concepts, and techniques
Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
