Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, Project Management 2, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located onsite Melbourne, FL.

This position will report to the Strategic C3 Systems (SCS) Program Integration Director but will take day-to-day direction from the SCS Capture Lead. This position oversees and manages capture effort operations to include the establishment and ongoing maintenance of the overall strategic rhythm to create a productive management cadence that ensures the visibility of our critical development plan. In addition, this role drives horizontal and vertical integration between the Program and Functions to ensure the health of our people, processes and tools are being addressed. This role ensures risks, issues and critical actions are being addressed down into the organization. This role will also support the top-level development of strategies in alignment with the programs to assist in the development of Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the corresponding investment requirements needed, e.g. Capital and NCTA. This role will also entail special assignments on areas of critical importance to include, but not limited to staffing assessment and visibility metrics, facilities and IT coordination, operational efficiency. This position is also responsible for direct line of leadership for a team of project management personnel to include performance management, staffing, career development/planning and engagement. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments and collaborative/team settings across all levels. This role is a vital member of the leadership team, which by nature of the position involves high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive programs, new business, personnel, and technical information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years’ experience OR a Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience in program integration and/or program management
  • Must have experience leading a team
  • Must have Aerospace and Defense Experience
  • At minimum, an active DoD Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role or higher clearance with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • EVMS experience
  • Staffing and Facility Management experience
  • Experience managing NCTA/Capital project execution and operations
  • Demonstrated understanding of program risk, opportunity and issue management process
  • Capture Program Experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret level clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
