Facilities Engineer (IC2)
Description:Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Basic Qualifications: • Experience supporting facility operations, infrastructure maintenance activities, and facility-related projects within industrial, commercial, or aerospace environments • Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and service providers to support facility maintenance, repair, and operational activities • Experience utilizing CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP, LM Buildings, or similar systems for work order management, asset tracking, and maintenance coordination • Experience reviewing drawings, blueprints, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation associated with facility systems and infrastructure • Experience supporting facility infrastructure systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building support systems • Experience coordinating multiple priorities, schedules, and operational activities in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills with the ability to interface across Facilities Operations, EHS, Security, Procurement, and site leadership organizations • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to obtain and maintain required security/access authorizations Desired Skills: • Experience supporting facility operations within a large industrial, aerospace, manufacturing, or campus-style environment. • Experience coordinating contractor/vendor activities and supporting facility infrastructure projects in an operational environment. • Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Maximo, LM Buildings, SAP, or similar maintenance management systems. • Experience supporting facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and building infrastructure systems. • Experience supporting operational continuity efforts while minimizing impacts to occupied facilities and ongoing site activities. • Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, AutoCAD, or similar drawing/document management platforms. • Experience reviewing facility drawings, layouts, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation. • Experience supporting audit readiness, safety compliance activities, and infrastructure reliability initiatives. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, vendors, and operational priorities simultaneously. • Previous experience supporting Lockheed Martin facilities operations or working within a government/aerospace contractor environment. • Experience supporting occupied facilities with high operational tempo and dynamic customer support requirements. • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across Facilities Operations, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders Clearance Level: None Other Important Information You Should Know Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
