Orion (Artemis) Program Environment, Safety & Health Engineer to support all ESH functions related to the program. These include: Radiation programs/monitoring, safety training, Hazardous Waste processing, Safety support (crane operations, Confined Space oversight and management, construction activities), human spaceflight awareness. Work with other ESH team members with potential overtime and weekend work (when required).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years or more of professional experience. Considered well experienced in ESH.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of environmental, safety and health regulations.
  • Ability to travel and work off-shift, overtime, weekends occasionally.
  • Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of human spaceflight programs/processes.
  • Spacecraft processing.
  • ESH related activities.
  • Experience with Hazardous Waste Processing

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

9x80 every other Friday off
