Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals in Melbourne, FL.
The selected candidate will execute the Systems Security Engineering (SSE) statement of work assigned to the Weapon Systems Cybersecurity (WSC) team. The WSC is responsible for sector process standardization and integration, assessing cybersecurity execution capability levels of programs, and providing technical support to captures and programs.

Additional Responsibilities for a Cyber Systems Engineer:
- Participate in cybersecurity execution capability assessments
- Draft cybersecurity process and training material for use by the Sector and the WSC team
- Participate in peer reviews for sector and internal process
- Participate in communication activities including document development, stakeholder meetings, and briefings
- Support data analytics by gathering metrics and working with visualizations
- Participate in direct program support activities
- Use agile engineering practices and the Atlassian suite to complete assigned work
- Perform system categorization based on impact analysis
- Perform vulnerability and compliance scans using DoD preferred tools (ACAS, SCC)
- Develop artifacts required to support an IATT and ATO (test plans, diagrams, system security plan, risk assessment report, security control traceability matrix, plan of action and milestones, security assessment report)
- Participate in Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events across the system development lifecycle including PDR, CDR, SRR, TRR
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic qualifications for a Cyber Systems Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with no years of experience.
- Must have an active US Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current/active DoD Top-Secret clearance
- Active DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (CompTIA Security+) certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Understanding of the requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation process
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering processes and milestones
- Experience working in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Architecture
- Experience working with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)
- Experience executing SSE frameworks (RMF, JSIG, CUI, ICD 503, ISO 27001)
- Working knowledge of technical security controls and the RMF process
- Working knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g. C, C++, Python)
- Experience working cybersecurity on weapon systems
- Experience remediating, mitigating, and documenting cybersecurity vulnerabilities

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,200.00 - $130,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
