Position Summary:
As an Assembly, Integration, and Test Technician III, you are responsible for the manufacturing and production of the assigned products of your department by following our standardized manufacturing operating procedures. You will observe and inspect our equipment and operations to ensure proper operation and compliance to our safety and quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and provide focus for your assigned department and coordinate with your Production Supervisor to meet or exceed customer deliveries and expectations.
- Show a full understanding of basic standard repairs, procedures, and associated repair routings and assist Production Supervisor with overall production flow.
- Demonstrate mature AI&T knowledge on the integration stations, from a system and setup point of view, as a subject matter expert on test and mechanical stations within your department.
- Assist AI&T Technicians in their skills development and their training as required.
- Ensure part and kit accuracy on daily production orders within your department.
- You act as a source of ideas for continuous improvement and priorities.
- Complete equipment set-up, operation, post-production, and clean-up.
- Accurately monitor and report labor hours to multiple projects.
- Complete in-process testing as required and update analytical staff on anticipated testing needs.
- Other additional tasks as assigned including AI&T Tech I & AI&T Tech II duties as needed.
- This position will be reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Qualified Experience /Skills / Training:
Education:
- High school diploma, or GED equivalent.
Experience:
- Experience in Aerospace AIT manufacturing procedures including assembly and test.
- Experience adhering to safety and following standard operating procedures.
- Experience using large scale highly technical equipment or other industrial or manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Must be able to accurately monitor and report labor hours to multiple projects.
- Able to review, understand and train with written procedures and technical documents.
- Able to capture lessons learned and transfer them into improvement suggestions as well as training plans.
- Must have a high-level of attention to detail and utilize scientific thought and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to organize work to keep several projects moving forward through effective time management and prioritization.
- Knowledge in the principles of lean manufacturing and 5S is a plus.
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical.
- Able to communicate effectively to manager and technical support groups through notes, presentations, and emails.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. Based on the position an employee is occasionally required to stand for an extended period of time; walk; reach above shoulders; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist or crouch.
- The employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision.
